It is a break down of the special effects Clint Eastwood used for Hereafter.
http://bit.ly/fBLANmKrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04025807139333951554noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2890338907751315894.post-19857955968194220462011-02-14T10:36:14.993+11:002011-02-14T10:36:14.993+11:00I totally agree with what you say about Eastwood. ...I totally agree with what you say about Eastwood. He has proven time and time again to be successful with his style, consistently drawing quality performances from his actors, building rich characters and creating a strong atmosphere from some great source material. He is never one to force his ideas, as you say. But with the exception of the tsunami sequence (which is very unlike Eastwood) I found Hereafter so unappealing. The three threads were all pretty predictable, and the film had no momentum. Even the final sequence, which left some hope for the audience, was pretty forgettable. I didn't hate it, but it's certainly not to the usual Eastwood standard.
I watched 127 Hours straight after, which likely pushed Hereafter completely from my mind.

Thanks for reading, and the comment.

Regards,

AndyAndy Bucklehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15655573933693289124noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2890338907751315894.post-50415333167748388972011-02-13T13:09:10.515+11:002011-02-13T13:09:10.515+11:00I couldn't disagree more with your assessment ...I couldn't disagree more with your assessment of Hereafter. I thought it was wonderful & I was surprised at just how engaging it turned out to be. Eastwood directed in such an exquisitely quiet manner that I had to smile when I read your reaction! But that's one of the reasons Eastwood is such a great director. He never forces the material or shouts at the audience. Evidently there's many who would like him to do that but I would suggest that those people are very young & very stupid (and they have the attention span of a goldfish).

Eastwood made a lovely arthouse picture, full of compassion & intelligence & it'll be better appreciated in time. Count on it.Frednoreply@blogger.com
