Then there's the fascinating creation of Laputa, which was really beautifully animated.Andy Bucklehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15655573933693289124noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2890338907751315894.post-56208911121510764152012-04-18T08:18:51.560+10:002012-04-18T08:18:51.560+10:00Hum, I actually thought the film was on the simpli...Hum, I actually thought the film was on the simplistic side. Still, I like it a lot and think the animation and creation of the world is supurb. Ghibli always makes fascinating worlds. There are certainly many better Ghibli films, but I still like this one a lot.Jameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00999103091301885129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2890338907751315894.post-14658651863651071302012-04-08T20:03:10.404+10:002012-04-08T20:03:10.404+10:00I watched the Japanese version with English subtit...I watched the Japanese version with English subtitles, but I imagine the voice-cast was sensational, all the same. It is just behind Mononoke and Spirited Away at the moment. Especially Luke Skywalker's Muska and Cloris Leachman's Dola; they both really made the film for me, although I must say I loved everything about the film.Jon Turnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17429847710275106960noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2890338907751315894.post-16191897234428019622012-04-04T09:16:31.790+10:002012-04-04T09:16:31.790+10:00Grave of the Fireflies was the first one I saw, an...Grave of the Fireflies was the first one I saw, and it moved me to tears. Laputa is my close second favourite (after Spirited Away). It's beautiful to watch, the music is wonderful, Pazu and Sheeta are such great characters - I love it! Really glad to hear you enjoyed it so much!Ruthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00175638828147935702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2890338907751315894.post-28371717752585724422012-04-03T22:29:57.546+10:002012-04-03T22:29:57.546+10:00You have to get into them, Pete. Fireflies is incredible - just trying to work out how to review it, and find the time to write it up.Andy Bucklehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15655573933693289124noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2890338907751315894.post-58789252842392937362012-04-03T17:43:02.083+10:002012-04-03T17:43:02.083+10:00I've never seen a single Ghibli film. I'm looking forward to your write up of Grave of the Fireflies as I hear this one is incredible and sounds more to my taste!ilovethatfilmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11882133059882238037noreply@blogger.com
