The hero whom we see quite happy in the end, started a chain of events with a few innocent or not quite innocent people to be killed. His reward - happy family life. Why you do not see that ? Interesting that it has funny scenes in it, I thought it's a serious thriller like The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.s.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13987831438787776712noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2890338907751315894.post-34855810967008094792012-03-05T20:11:37.657+11:002012-03-05T20:11:37.657+11:00I laughed hysterically for big chunk of this film....I laughed hysterically for big chunk of this film. It was just really fun. After the MILLENNIUM films I thought that better ones could be made - and Fincher, for me, delivered. This handled the thrills and humour really well. Very impressive. Will try and get as many people as I can to see it.Andy Bucklehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15655573933693289124noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2890338907751315894.post-58337488118565554712012-03-05T03:03:10.803+11:002012-03-05T03:03:10.803+11:00Nice one Andy. The adaptation's pretty faithful to the novel, actually - I bought it after watching the movie - apart from an injection of humour that was lacking in Nesbo's original.<br />(Anyone who's read The Leopard or The Snowman will be surprised at the macabre humour here!)Colinhttp://www.picknmixflix.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2890338907751315894.post-75435963760562391382012-03-04T17:42:59.480+11:002012-03-04T17:42:59.480+11:00I agree abut everything you say. The dog and a certain hiding place for instance. Go Norway! And may no one watch the remake!Jessicahttp://www.thevelvetcafe.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
