Alice in Wonderland
Tim Burton's re-envisioning of Lewis Carroll's classic child fantasy finally hit cinemas yesterday, Thurs March 4th, in digital 3D. The numbers were solid and the film proved to match the BIG box office expectations. As for the film, most critics have agreed that Burton's best work is behind him, slamming Alice and deeming it "a fantasy without magic and very little heart and soul." Currently sitting at 57% on Rotten Tomatoes. I am yet to check out the flick, but at my own peril I am sure, i will within the next week and report back to you. Also released yesterday was The Men Who Stare at Goats. Appears to be a very funny film starring Ewan McGregor, George Clooney, Kevin Spacey, Jeff Bridges and Goat. Be sure to check this one out too. Happy viewing!

I couldn't have been more disappointed with the film. Thought it was nearly as bad as Burton's Planet of the Apes.
ReplyDeleteI agree. It was horrible!
