Awards Watch: London Film Critics Circle Nominations


Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Drive have received six nominations each, including Best Film, to lead the pack in the London Film Critics' Circle Awards. The nominees are voted for by 120 UK film critics, broadcasters and writers. These are more fine selections:

The London Film Critics Circle seem to have their heads screwed on. No Best Picture list should fail to include The Tree of Life and A Separation. What are your thoughts?

  2. The only qualm I have is no cinematography mention for Chivo for The Tree of Life.

  3. @ Ruth - This is the best lineup I have seen so far. Can't wait for TTSS.

    @ Steven - I forgot about Chivo. Yeah, he should be there, but check out some of those other tech nominees - Alberto Iglesias for his score in THE SKIN I LIVE IN, Chris King and Gregers Sall for their editing in SENNA and Cliff Martinez for his score in DRIVE. I doubt they'll be announced on Oscar day. Well, perhaps Martinez.
