  1. Ran is amazing, if I had to choose an all time favourite film, it would be probably be Ran...

You've watched a lot of good stuff this month, especially Un Prophete, great film.

Will you be posting a review of Boy A sometime ? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on it.

  2. Oh yeah, it is incredible! I had a good month, especially with the Tarkovsky and In A Better World and Incendies. They make for a solid month at the cinema. I really liked Boy A, but I hadn't thought about writing a review. I am so busy this weekend with a film I am working on, and I have cinema work for the next week too. I think my posts will be slim. I hope to watch and review The Battle of Algiers sometime this week, and then see Source Code on the 5th! I hope I can continue to post regularly :-)

  5. I absolutely love Twelve Angry Men! And the most amazing thing I think about it is that the film was Sidney Lumet's big screen debut. Such a fantastic director with such a brilliant debut. And the film would not have been anywhere near as good without him in the director's chair. Great post!

  6. No worries Lime(tte), glad you find some of the films I have mentioned interesting.

@ Matt S. - I don't know why it took me so long to watch 12 Angry Men, but I absolutely loved it. Thanks for following and reading Matt, I really appreciate the support!

  7. I've put off watching A Prophet, because I've nevr found myself to be in the mood for a prison drama. I know it'll be worth it when I do eventually watch it though.

  8. Chris, you should certainly check it out. I agree though, it is not a film you can sit and watch at any time. It is gritty and confronting, and quite long. I'm sure you will find it a powerful and compelling drama!
