Trailers for 'Kill List' and 'Tyrannosaur'

Here are some trailers for a couple of British films I am now kicking myself for missing at the Sydney Film Festival:

Kill List (Dir. Ben Wheatley)

Tyrannosaur (Dir. Paddy Considine)

What are your thoughts on these films?

  1. I've heard good things about Kill List from genre geeks. I hope to see this at TIFF.

  2. I have no idea when they are scheduled for a release here in Australia. But, I must see them when they do.

  3. I think "genre film" is such a weird word... I mean... I get it, but isn't everything GENRE!

Tyrannosaur looks cool, I just think seeing Colman in a serious role is weird. Have you watched Peep Show? It's brill. I don't know if it's big in Australia.

Thanks for the Monday link btw : -) Awesome.

  4. Yeah, I dunno why I put down 'genre' film. I saw it described that way somewhere...maybe by you :-p

I have seen Peep Show, but it's not big in Australia. A friend of mine introduced it to me a couple of years ago. I love it! It is strange to see her in a serious role; a very serious role by the looks of things. I just know her as the chick from Peep Show. I have been told Tyrannosaur is awesome, and it's directed by Paddy Considine (Dead Man's Shoes, Red Riding Trilogy: 1980).

You're very welcome. Keep up the great festival coverage!

  5. Wow. Both of these films look like they'll be really good. I hope they come to the U.S. sometime later this year. Gotta hand it to the Brits. They make really good films.

  6. I'm sure they will. They have had a festival run here in Australia, so the release could be any time. But with such positive applause, I'm sure they will get a solid cinema run.
